Requesting a Repeat Prescription

You can request your prescription in the following ways:

• By using our online Repeat Prescription Request form.
• By using our online services, My Health Online/Fy Iechlyd Ar-lein. If you are not registered to use this service, please Register for My Health Online/Fy Iechlyd Ar-lein.
• Through your nominated local pharmacy.
• By posting into the external post box at your usual surgery

Please allow 5 working days for your prescription to be processed.

Collecting Your Prescription

For our non-dispensing patients, we routinely send all prescriptions to Boots Pharmacy in Crickhowell (or for Gilwern surgery patients to Williams the Chemist) but alternative arrangements can be made on request by contacting the practice, or nominating another pharmacy by using our Register for the Electronic Prescription Service form.

For our dispensing patients, your medication will be available for collection from the dispensary or, if you live in Llangynidr and surrounding area and have signed up to our delivery service, your medication can be collected from the Walnut Tree Stores.

Dispensary

Patients who normally drop their repeat slips into the Belmont Surgery in Gilwern are able to drop them into the Gilwern Chemist.

Dispensing patients can collect their prescriptions from the dispensary window to the side of the War Memorial Health Centre (next to the GPs’ parking area).

The dispensary opening times are:

• 09:15 – 17:30

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see, or speak to, a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and a notification should appear on your repeat slip.

Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
